Vintage furniture, old pictures, we stepped into this traditional Indonesian restaurant, well, it was actually more like a museum. We sat on the carpet and looked at the menu. We placed an order for local food, the Le-le fish, fried banana and sate-beef, and we were confusing about the originality of local food between Malaysia and Indonesia. Apparently we could not make a conclusion on this, better we focused more on the appealing decorations.
While we were waiting for food, we were walking around to take a look of the “exhibitions”. There were collections of radio, clock, and puppet and a stage with traditional music instruments, bringing us back to the 80’s. For a vintage-lover like me, everything was stunning.
The pray rooms were neat and the seats were spacious, even that the kitchen was open. It was such a cosy place that we would want to stay there for some time after we finished our meal. Food was delicious and fresh. The atmosphere was so good and the most impressive thing was that the waitress there never mind us to stay for a long time even we only ordered little food.
The price was totally not expansive for this service and environment. If you want to taste more than traditional food, Inggil restaurant is one of the best options.
